Elephant Figurine
What is the name of this Hindu deity?
I found a book a few weeks ago while perusing a bookstore with one of my friends. It was a book of symbols; how religions and the world views specific animals, plants, etc.
While we were looking through the animals, we came across a page on Elephants. My friend pointed out a Hindu deity (whether a stem of a larger god or a single deity himself, I don’t know) that was often described as a yellow elephant that, specifically, influenced inspiration in writing.
I believe I’ve found a small figurine of this deity that I’m interested in purchasing, but I’m not sure of the name of the deity or even if the statue is of the specific one that I’m looking for.
Can anyone identify the god that I’ve just described? I’d very much appreciate it.
